CMW Design & Construct is proud to mark the completion of a significant package of three major projects for Melbourne Airport — our biggest single year of delivery in our 20+ year partnership with APAM.
This milestone represents:
• The most concurrent projects we’ve delivered at the Airport (three running simultaneously)
• The highest combined project value undertaken at one time
• Some of the most complex and operationally critical facilities we’ve been entrusted to deliver
Across 2025, our team successfully delivered:
A major expansion featuring 60,000+ sqm of heavy-duty hardstand, new warehousing infrastructure and critical apron-adjacent operational upgrades to support the Airport’s growing freight and logistics needs.
A highly technical build incorporating freezer and chiller rooms, fumigation booths, secure inspection areas, refrigerated and ambient warehousing, and a high-spec commercial office fitout — further strengthening Melbourne Airport’s capacity as a logistics and biosecurity hub.
Construction of the new main building shell and structure to support the Airport’s future food preparation and catering operations for airlines. Stage 2, the full fitout for the tenant, will follow in 2026.
A huge thank you to our dedicated delivery teams, consultants, subcontractors and the APAM project leadership group for their collaboration, trust and commitment. Delivering three major projects concurrently in a live aviation environment is no small feat, and we’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved together.
Here’s to continuing our strong partnership with Melbourne Airport as it evolves to meet the needs of Victoria’s future.
