At CMW Design & Construct, we marked R U OK? Day with a team BBQ at our Mainfreight site, bringing together site crews, subcontractors, and our office team.

Mental health – and particularly men’s mental health – remains a significant issue in our industry.  Over the past few years, we’ve recognised the day with site BBQs and awareness posters, but this year we stepped it up.  Building on toolbox sessions recently delivered by industry partners such as CBUS and Incolink, we hosted a site function where everyone could share a meal, connect, and check in with each other.

The result was a great day of connection, awareness, and genuine conversations — reinforcing that asking “Are you OK?” can make a real difference.
