CMW is pleased to report solid progress on the delivery of the new Pickles facility and adjoining hardstand areas for Melbourne Airport Property.
Since announcing the start of the project, significant milestones have been achieved across multiple work fronts. Civil works and drainage infrastructure are now well advanced, with the building platform benched, footings poured, and the structural steel frame erected.
A major milestone has been the installation of the underground stormwater retention system, built in a “Parthenon-style” configuration. With a capacity of over one million litres, the tank was installed by the team at Samco in half the time originally programmed – a testament to great planning and execution.
Work is continuing across the site, with precast elements installed smoothly and concrete pours for the expansive hardstand areas well underway. The main building construction is also progressing strongly, with coordination remaining key given the project’s location under the Melbourne Airport main runway approach.
CMW is proud to be delivering another high-performance facility in the Melbourne Airport Business Park.
